I have searched and searched and can not find what I am looking for. In the past week or so someone posted a link to a company that provides small and mini pry bars to the U.S. Govt. and also sells them to the public. They also have paracord, can openers, etc.

Can someone steer me to the correct site?

TIA - John

County Comm is good. I have an order in with them right now. But not for the pry bars. If I need to pry something small, I use my Sebenza!

OK, I don't :p

Okay forgive me if this is a dumb question but isn't a "mini" prybar sort of a self defeating gadget? I mean, the reason you use a pry bar to pry on something is the increase leverage it provides. In order to have leverage one must have some length to the lever in question. These mini prybars have no length so it seems to me that their leveraga potential would be somewhat... limited. What in the world are you prying with your mini-prybars anyway?

The same stuff that you'd use your knife to pry with that you know you shouldn't. It doesn't offer so much leverage as a longer one, obviously, but sometimes you just need something stronger than your finger or knife.

I've used mine to open bottles, pry up recalcitrant windows, pop up nails enough to grab them with pliers, move the earth, normal stuff.

LOL! Mr. Archimedes, I didn't know you frequented this forum... thanks for the insight! I still suspect that these mini prybars are mostly part of the bladeforums power lifting program (i.e. let's see how much heavy junk we can haul about in our pockets) but I'm in NO position to tell anyone he's carrying to much junk in his pockets. :) People in glass houses and all that...

i guess i just abuse my mutitool for these kind of jobs.

Hey it has a warranty.

why not?

Target carries little mini crowbars made by Stanley for less than $5 if you want it quicker and without shipping. They are almost certainly a little bigger than these keychain sized ones, however. Probably on the order of 5-6 inches. I've got one that I keep in a little kit in my truck (along with a real prybar actually, haha). I'm sure that you could cut it down into something more pocket sized.

I think the mini-prybar is quite handy. I've owned Prybabys and other Atwood products and they're top-notch but for $5 these prybars can't be beat.

I wrapped my as per the instructional video on the CountyComm site. I feel I get a better grip on it, and it muffles the clanging sounds coming from my pockets. :o

:D

Its okay to throw stones if you live in a glass house, just make sure you aren't home! Your point is valid though. I've stripped down my keychain because it got too bulky. I go to Court a lot too and they don't even let me in the the prybaby anymore, to say nothing of having a pocket knife or mini-leatherman.

What I really liked about the prybaby was that it had a staight screwdriver tip, a nail puller and a bottle opener on it as well as being a handy mini prybar.
