Anybody got one of these? I was set on a 4 incher but dang this guy keeps talking to me. I think its because of the blade to handle ratio, it just looks neater than the full size Recon 1. Normally Im a full size knife guy but the Recon 1 handle looks HUGE.

Just wondered if anyone had tried it yet...?

I have the previous version and I like it a lot. This is the one CS folder I really like. I want CS to remove the black from the blade and offer this in brown and/or foliage green G10. It would make a perfect hunting knife and chore knife.
Orange G10 would be a fantastic offering, as well.

Well, I got the big and small. The big is big, but I always have a large knife in the back pocket for if I need one. The handle is huge, but really makes your hand feel at home and secure in case you had to fight a bear (for exaggerated example). The small is wonderful - get one and you'll be glad you did. Solid, light, beautiful. My only complaint with Cold Steel so far is the clip. It looks great, but the tip needs to curve up a tad more to clear pocket seams. Also, ease up on the massive retention. Those things I will mod this weekend, and maybe soften the G10 under the clips, too.

Thanks for the feedback! The clip is a concern... there's a review of the new Ultimate Hunter in the Knife Reviews area and it was also raised there. This is a sticky issue for me I must admit. Years ago I sold an AK-47 because of it. How hard can it be to get a pocket clip right? It ain't exactly rocket science!

I carefully bent the back of the clip to ease the tension, bent the curved front for ease of getting over seams, and sanded lightly under the clip to ease the pocket shredding. I did this to the large, small, and Voyager. Here's a pic...

Nice work! All's I'm saying is we shouldn't have to do these things...

Mine makes a great work knife. I used to use it all the time and only had to sharpen it every couple of months.
