Mini recon 1?

Only 2", 4", and 5" blades now..because it made sense to get rid of the 3"..not!
I hope CS will reconsider this.
They also discontinued the 4" spear point with OD scales. Ugh!!
 
I would have just bought one the other day but couldn’t find them other than the bay for super expensive
 
Discontinued, but I just found and ordered one, a clip point in CTS XHP. I have the spear point in AUS 8. It's strange that this one fell, it really is an awesome EDC type knife, in my opinion, every bit as good as the Para 2 and Griptilian, and yes, all 3 share pocket time.
 
I agree about missing this model. I have two of the aus8 versions and they really are a great edc. Great ergonomics and robust blade made it a tough but pocketable work knife.

I was very excited about the upgrade to CTS XHP but disappointed when it was not released.

Oh, I’m also not super excited about the switch to S35vn either. It’s a great steel but I REALLY liked the XHP.
 
Yes, I purchasd a Recon 1 and American Lawman with the upgraded steel and the slimmer scales (AL)...great knives! I just missed out on the mini lawman being upgraded too.

If you ever get tired of one (particularly the tanto) let me know.

I'm curious to know why they were discontinued and if there's any chance we will see them again in the near future.
 
I missed the Cold Steel announcement that they are switching from CTS-XHP to S35VN so I hope to see a new version of the Mini Recon 1. I really want one with a tanto blade but just in case they don't come back I was able to order a clip point mini from Warriors and Wonders. I believe they still have some in stock and mine should arrive tomorrow. Thanks for sharing that source.
