Just got the Wildcat Ridge lockback folder and it has exceeded my expectation. This is a nice big knife approaching ZT heft in the hand. Not quite there but it feels really good. Maybe a little too big for an edc in the office but good for pocketing on a hike or walks or camping.

Nice jimping on the spine of the blade near the handle for a thumb to dig into. Not overly aggressive but still provides great traction. Lockup seems perfect to me. No play. Well centered blade. Not as sharp as some factory edges I have received from Kershaw, but sharper than any factory ZT edge I have received.

I bought the Wildcat Ridge because I am starting to lean towards traditional folders a little more and really do like Kershaws. Bought a beautiful Case a few weeks back but that is a much smaller (delicate even) knife.

The Wildcat Ridge feels well put together and definitely worth it at the price point. Mine was a bit north of $30. Comes with a nylon carrying case with a belt loop. No pocket clip.

Looks good. I wiuld like to play with a few of the lockbacks kershaw offers.

That's a really nice looking lock back. The jimping looks nicely done and very functional. Careful with those traditionals they can be very addictive. Buy a GEC and you'll be hooked like me, guaranteed.

I'm going to have to checkout the Wildcat Ridge. Thanks, I didn't even know it existed until I saw your post.

RE - GEC - yes I have been eyeing them. Trying to find a good vendor. It doesn't look like GEC themselves sell from their website.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I got my mom a Squaw Creek (I think) for Christmas. If ZT made a toothpick, this is how big it would be. It's more of a keychain sort of knife I wonder if she uses it any...

I think that's the Corral Creek - if it's the Kershaw.

Yes - looks like the small version of the Wildcat Ridge with the sheepsfoot style blade. Looks like a nice little knife. I may get one to keep in my pocket at work... but then the Cryo or the Chive will have to stay home.

I looked again on Kershawguy's website and the one I got is listed by him as the Squaw Creek. It's 2 inches (ZT toothpick) and more of a clip point blade. It looks like it's a different series from the Wildcat Ridge, though it is a lockback. I have heard of the Corral Creek though.

Yep - there it is. I didn't see it at first. The imported items section was the last one I looked at - and didn't even see it first time through! I guess that I would call that a clip point.

Looks nice, traditional with a bit of modern too. What would you say is the weight of this knife? I've seen on several websites the weight listed as 7.2oz and on others 4.3oz. Thats kind of a big difference to me.
