Here is a link to a mini-review of a kopis that I just got from BFC member Bill Wray who is trying to set up a business as an importer for the Australian company, Valiant Arms. It is a very pretty little piece but I haven't had time to check it as a cutter. That will have to wait until I get back from my first trip to Europe, especially to Pompeii. I have dreamed of going there ever since I saw an article on it when I was about 8 years old, back about 1950.

Gawgeous. I like the no-nonsense functional looking quality of the HI falcatta, but that one is lovely too. Some for cleaving (insert proper noun here -- zombies, watermelon, carjacker), some for wall hanging. Not that either wouldn't do both just fine, I am sure...

The detail carving of the lion head pommel is really quite nice, as is the wolf head on the scabbard throat. I really want to try that blade out as it just feels like a great cutter.
