I recently purchased a BT4 Recurve from Ban. Not only does Ban produce a great knife, but his customer service is exceptional. I recieved the knife two days after purchasing, that's fast shipping. The moment I unpacked the knife and held it in my hand, I was in awe. The fit and finish are perfect, the edge is crazy sharp, and the handle is very comfortable. Having already planned a camping trip with my son, it seemed like the perfect setting to try out Ban's knife. I know most of us dont think of a Recurve blade as your typical bushcraft knife, but Ban's knife was more than effective. The first test seems to be, how well a knife batons. The recurve turned a thick piece of cedar into kindling in no time at all.
I then beat Bans knife through some of that aged, petrified, hardwood crap that you find infront of your local grocery store.
Bans knife performed excellent and when i was done was still sharp enough to shave hair, and make this pathetic fuzz stick (the users fault, not the knife's)
After that I tried out Bans knife to make a quick dead fall trap. Every piece of the trap was built using Ban's knife. I found the extra belly to be quite useful in making push cuts while notching the trigger stick.
All in all I was more than happy with my new purchase, and will definitely look to do business with Ban in the future. Its clear that Ban puts alot of time, heart and soul into each of his knives, and you cant go wrong.
