Warning- some hunting pics lower down in post.

At some point I'm going to do an in-depth review of the Warrior, based on the last few years I've been using mine. Since someone asked if the warrior could be used as a camp knife, I decided to post a quick taster of the (relative) versatility of this "single-purpose" knife:

In the wet- no corrosion concerns:

Quick cook-up, shows the "functional" Kydex sheath I made for it:

Delegating (De-leg-a-ting, geddit?!) using the serrations: saves your plain edge:

Good grip when wet/bloody:

For those to whom such things are relevant, my sheath presents the knife for ipsilateral, reverse-grip, edge-out hold or contralateral conventional grip:

H1 is not the greatest for edge retention in abrasive media but it is tough and easy to sharpen.

So, it may not be the best knife for most of these tasks, but it can certainly do them. Mine was secondhand when I bought it several years ago and it is showing no undue wear and tear.

It's a more versatile knife than it gets credit for.

just awesome!
then again,
it is a de-animator.
and it would have been
just as entirely shocking
if it wasn't able to land it self to
(for the lack of a better word)
"butchering".
thank you for putting it to the test.
i m pretty sure it's
the best photo-graphic proof
to date
of it's true intended cutting abilities.
myth busted!!

Very cool. I noticed you batoning in the first few pics...any concern with the serrations eating your baton? That's my one holdback on the knife, otherwise I'll probably be picking one up soon.

I'd be more worried about the baton breaking off your serrations, but it's amazing what being careful will do--just keep the hits out towards the tip!

Nice review of an oft-overlooked knife.

As above, there is a section between the tip and the serrations which presents a good surface for battoning.

Nice real world usage.
I love it when people actually use what others deride as a "useless" knife. :)

Very cool review.

Haha. Wish I'd seen this before trading mine. ;) Well, not really. It was a good trade and everybody got something cool that they didn't have before. I may get a Salt at some point though. My idea of tactical is still karambit-leaning. Or my VTAC Lagana. You can't horde everything or you start to look like my landlord.
