I have other Striders, but not like this one. It's not very pretty, but it has nice clothes;). I must say right off the bat, it fits into my useage pattern perfectly(not heavy, not light, mid way). The Sage 1 is the standard I go by in my useage pattern, the SJ is a bit bigger, but feels, carries, operates much like the Spyderco. :)Never thought I'd ever say that about a Strider.
What I like :
No break in
Easy to open/close
Light and easy to carry, slabs taper too clip end
Super strong pivot w/3/16 thick slabs
Thin ground blade at the edge to slice very well, grind widens toward the tip, to make it slim
The brown G10 is nice
Fits my smallish hand

Add on.
I haven't owned a 35VN blade till now, this SJ seems to hold an edge quite well. Today in my garden I took down old tomato plants cutting the sisal twine ties(old sisal full of dust and grit), it took the job in stride, still hair cutting sharp. Also, the blade gets crazy sharp, which I like. I don't remember S30V ever keeping that crazy sharp edge for me very long.

Liking this knife.

Thanks for the review. I've heard the ergos are great, but it looks a little small for me. I'm assuming it's smaller than a SnG.

SnG is longer but narrower than the SJ. SJ is wide and stout.

Both models have identical edge-lengths...2.82", IIRC. (I just rechecked; I was right) Was very surprising to me. In addition, the SJ75 is "sculpted" such that it feels like a much thinner knife than it is. The handle width will vary up to at least 0.080" or so, measuring from center of handle to either up or down. Other Striders don't do this. Nice going, Strider.
