Well Thanks to Ray (rayster357) and Josh at REK. My "bring back the mini road house from the dead" is complete other than some steel flame goodies.
I think scale work is incredible, if I did not know Rayster hand made the scales and backspacer I would mistake it for manufactured with cnc machines and tools. Ray is also an awesome person, humble modest and just all around caring genuine guy. A real asset to the EKI community. Always willing to help, even dealing with my anoying a%&...I always ask to many questions and use way to much of his valuable time. He really does help continue the EKI hobby in more than the ovbious ways. Alright enough ass kissing...
Wait gotta kiss Joshes ass as well, He is a super nice guy and very talented.. Between Ray and Josh I am going to go broke but will have some very cool EKI pimped knives, as well as two very cool friends!
Ok back to the knife.
Started out grabbing this cheap on the Knife exchange, it was rough but not to bad. Had a acid washed blade with a polished "high edge".
I decided to put on a nath pivot in bronze and bonze the rest of the hardware, I suck at it so ray put in some new flames bronzed screws. When I got the knife the liners were already bronzed but I touched them up to match the clip I bronzed and the pivot from nath.
Josh did a fantastic job doing a zero grind then putting a 5 degree micro bevel on it to make sure it was very strong edge..its freaking sharp! He also steriliezed the blade giving it a very cool extremley clean look!
So I would say the knife has been saved and has new life thanks to:
Rayster357
Josh at Razor Edge Knives
Nath Customs (nathawut Petchkong on facebook)
I have a few bucks in the knife but very resonable pricing from the awesome craftsman I have mentioned. Well worth buying a user and building a cool one of a kind keeper.
Also could not have this cool pimped EKI mini roadhouse if it was not for "the man" Ernest Emerson and crew for putting them out.
Thanks all!
Sorry for the forth grader grammer and spelling posting from phone ..makes it hard for me to edit into a good post ..lol!
