I only own a few Benchmades, Contego, Grip, and Adamas, but a Knifeworks exclusive mini-Rukus caught my eye recently and I snagged one. I received it a few days back, and this is a really great knife. Excellent ergos, very aesthetically pleasing, and a pretty useful blade shape. Anyone know why these were discontinued? Seems like it would be a pretty popular model were it still offered outside of limited runs.

To make room for newer product BKC disco's models that have slowed in sales. Funny thing; during their day, the AFCK and Rukus models didn't move, and just try to find a good example of each - nearly impossible.

I suppose people always want what they can't have.

Maybe. I can think of a hundred production knives that few people would cry about if they went into the good night. Not sure why BM disco'd so many great designs but I think one reason for their new-found popularity is because so many of the current designs are so uninspiring.
