Hello all, I'm more of a kitchen knife nut, so I thought I'd ask a question here for you kind folks that seem to have all the info on all other knives. :)

Does anyone have the capabilities to take a picture of this knife in the palm of their hand?

I'm looking for a 4" (or smaller) folder and I just keep coming back to this knife, but I think it might be a bit too large for pocket carry. I had a Native that I felt was too big. It wasn't the length, but the width when closed that felt awkward in my pocket.

Also, any other knives I should consider? I'm getting kind of tired of carrying my not so special Spyderco Kiwi. I want something like the BM Mini-Grip, but with a nicer feel than the plastic scales.

Thanks in advance.

Adam

Adam, the mini-skirmish has a wide blade. If you're looking for a blade that will cut like a kitchen knife, I would recommend that you consider the Calypso Jr with G10 scales. It is a full flat ground blade so will slice and dice like no other. The mini-skirmish has pretty thick grind so isn't as good a slicer.

I don't know if I'd use a folder in the kitchen, But if you want a nice knife for EDC then get the BM. I have both sizes and much prefer the mini. It isn't too big by any means and all but disappears into the pocket. S30v steel for good egde retention, Ti scales......... Check it out, you won't be sorry. :) :barf: Spyderco

Oh, no, no, no! My apologies for confusing. I just said I was more a kitchen knife guy to imply I know very little about the thousands of pocket knives. I am looking for an EDC that isn't too big to carry in jeans or khakis.

Thanks for the replies too, they were helpful. I did happen to stop by my local sporting goods store tonight and the only BM they had was a 14210. I liked it a lot and like it even more now that I get home and I've found it several places for $60.00 less. I love the internet. It's a touch smaller than the Mini Skirmish and has a skinnier blade. Still think I'm gonna find a used Skirmish though.

Thanks again for the input!!

Adam

I love the mini skirmish, but for you I think I'd recommend the Gravitator. The scales are gripper and the wharncliffe blade should be better in food prep. Plus, it's about 40 dollars cheaper. The steel is a little lesser though, 154cm vs S30V.

To clarify. I do not want to use this knife for food prep. Cord, boxes, tape, wire, etc. Not food.

I regret ever using the word kitchen. :)

Well, it's still a sweet knife for EDC. It's a bit beefier than the mini skirmish though.

You can get it uncoated too.
