I'm interested in getting a mini skirmish but cant seem to find it anywhere in local stores. how does it carry in the pocket as an EDC. it looks on the bulky side but is it comfortable? any help is appreciated.

its a little wide from spine to belly but is quite thin. It is a burly knife and quite strong. the clip kinda sucks though and that is my only real complaint about the knife.... i think it carries quite well. I really like the knife but then again i really like titanium framelocks.

I've long since decided the mini-Skirmish will be my next folder purchase. I haven;t carried it (obviously) but I fondle one whenever the oppurtunity arrises. What a great design....and tip-down carry too! Right up my alley. If only it were an Axis........

I don't have a problem with the clip. At least one has not presented itself yet.

The tip down is OK on this knife, since without the thumbstud there is nothing to hang up on when inserting it in you pocket using the clip, so it doesn't open slightly and poke a hole in your pants like some other knives I have.

But I would like a tip-up carry, I think because...

The only thing I find a little annoying so far is that it is a little too wide, so, with jeans, my hand scrapes the thumb ramp when I put my hand in my pocket. A little pointy.

The main thumb-hole is a little small if you compare it with most Spyderco thumb-holes, but it is more nicely contoured.

But fit and finish and lockup are great. Smooth opening. Very solid knife.

If it were up to me, I might reprofile the handle so it covered the pin stop part of the blade when closed, and round off the thumb ramp a little.

Eric.
