1SKS has the mini socom for $99, seems like an awesome deal, is it?

I came here researching one knife a week and a half ago and now I'm up about three. I think if I buy this and the LCC my wife will probably kill me with one of them.

Opinions? (about the mini socom, not my wife killing me)

Get rid of your wife. Oh, sorry, that probably wasn't the opinion you were looking for.
If it is one knife that you are looking to buy, get the Mini Socom. At $99.00 you can not pass that up. If it isn't a problem then buy them both. You won't regret it.

Seems a tad too small for me and is basically a 'tactical' gent's folder

Doesn't have that 'bulletproof' feeling I get from my full size Socoms, but still a very well made, well fitted knife and super sharp right out of the box. Just my opinions though - you might wanna handle one for yourself first.

I second redvenom that it's a bit too small. Even for the typical Asian hand like me.

If it's for defense I'd definitely go for the Socom or SE.

Pricewise the LCC is great but i do prefer the feel of the Socom.

I once bought a mini socom without ever seeing one. It was very small. I ended up selling it to someone else. Too much mini, not enough socom. IMO.

hmm....
Mini-SOCOM thread, so I'll ask a question I have been wondering for a while.

How does the size fo the M-SOCOM compare to a small Sebbie?

Your responses might provoke me to buy a small to go with my large, so please be gentle

The Mini Socom is rather small but the plain edge version makes a perfect airline/travel knife. Its also very size efficient. The cutting edge is only about an inch shorter than the large but the overall length is almost 2" shorter than the large. The mini also retains the excellent Socom blade length to handle ratio.

tique,
I own a small sebenza and used to own the m-socom. It is considerably smaller than the sebenza in my memory. Who knows for sure? Maybe someone will post a side by side pic?

The first knife was probably used to cut stuff.
