mini Strider spearpoint

Has any one put any use on one of these? I used mine once the other day to make a cut in some laminate, and found that I had trouble controling the cut. I suspect this is because of the blade being so wide, this knife was not intended as a utility knife like a 112 would be. It was meant for chopping and such. Anyone else agree/disagree?

sorry, i'm not answering you.but i just got my mini strider sp an hour ago.IT is a good knife, however i found the pocket clip is way too tight, i can't even clip in my pocket
but anyways, i love it
