I should know this. I really should and I'm not happy with myself for asking this right now. I bought a used Mini Task about 3 months ago and kinda just put in the drawer without ever really checking it out. So I see MorrowJ's post about the newly acquired Task and Ricochet and decide I'll go grab it and start to really check it out. Bladeplay!! Vertical and slight horizontal... No! It could also use some cleaning up with a new clip and all. So I know I can send my Leeks and my Blurs and all my newer stuff to Kershaw for fixin and what not, but can I send this older model in and still get it cleaned and fixed or whatever Kershaw can do for it? It really is just too sweet of a knife to keep it hidden in the dark.

Cleaned, sharpened and fixed.... probably.

New clip or parts..... not likely.

I wanted a pocket clip for a Random Task a while back. Warranty said, "no can do." Those knives are 10 years old and I suspect their cache of spare parts is running low. On the plus side, you can still get torsion bars and screws.

I'd have them tweak the lock bar and replace the torsion bar. You can sand down the clip (assuming it isn't broken) and get new screws to dress it up a bit.
