I've read about using the mini teklok on BK-11 sheath so it can be worn on the belt. I wear double thickness leather gun belts as my everyday belt (the ones from Dillon). Would the mini teklok fit on this type of belt?

I wear a Wilderness Tactical Products Instructor Belt (combat shooter's model), which is a very thick belt. It is two layers of cordura webbing with a rigid plastic insert. Mini-TekLoks do fit around it, but closing them requires a fair amount of force.

I put the calipers to a mini-TekLok and the opening measures .2455" x 1.485".

Thanks guys. I measued my belt and it's 0.252" thick x 1.463" wide. So looks like the width is ok, but belt seems too thick. Will the teklok close on it, or is there enough material on the teklok to take enough off and get it to close and reliably stay closed?

As long as there's a tiny bit of "give" to the material of your belt you should be able to close the TekLok. Just be prepared to apply some pressure.
