What is the best mini tool to have on your keychain. I of course have the micra on my chain now ... looking for something with more added features (Pliers) with the same size in mine. Is the sebertech M4 with scissors any good? Sog Cross Grip? Bear Cutlery Mini Bear Jaws? Mini Buck Tool?

Thank you & Take Care,

Ryan

Hey Ryan...

I really like the SOG..
It has some very useful tools while still being smaller than the Leatherman mini tool....

Speaking of which....

I like the Tough Chip by Schrade a lot but it doesn't have pliers....Not sure if it has a lanyard hole either. But it does have alot of useful tools on it. I carry mine in the pouch on my belt. Usually I hate pouches but this one is so small and unobtrusive.

I had a Sebertool M4 but I didn't like it. It felt cheap to me. I gave it to a friend; his wife took it from him. She seems to like it but I would imagine that it gets very light use.

Had this same problem a week or three ago; had a Micra, wanted pliars.

Decided on a Swiss-tech Microtechnician. They've got a couple of different models. Very small, very non-redundant (doesn't have a lot of duplicate Micra tools).

It's worth a look.

To the best of my knowledge the SeberTech M4 does not have scissors. Is there a newer version? I carried one for a while and eventually gave it to a friend. It was actually larger than the more conventional mini-tools, like the Micra, but too small to provide a decent grip with the pliers.

I carried a Leatherman Micra for a while. Eventually I got frustrated with the scissors, which weren't good for fine work.

The mini-tool I have settled on is the SOG CrossGrip. The compound leverage allows me to use it for real plier work despite the short handles. I also carried the SOG CrossCut for a while, which is still my first pick of the scissor tools.

My "backup" is a Tool Logic Deluxe Credit Card Tool carried in my wallet. If you haven't looked at them you should.

Leatherman Mini-Tool!!!!!!!!!

Very small size (smaller than a Zippo lighter) but it opens (articulated handles) to full size pliers! At least three times stronger (more leverage) than any other small keyring-sized tool.
