I was talking to Robbie on the phone and we were discussing different versions of the Revolver. I like the idea of a smaller version of it. 3 3/4" or 4" blade and saw in a 4 1/4" to 4 1/2" handle. I would get this size in a heartbeat. Let's hear some thoughts on this. I'm 100% sure it would be a hit so if you're reading this Spencer, please give it some thought. :) Thanks
Scott

That sounds like a great idea. And you could make the blade a drop point for the guys over in the UK and those who dont like the guthook. Definitely sounds like a great idea.:)

Yep, I forgot to mention that, a regular drop point blade without the guthook. Thanks, socintel. ;)

You know what else would be awesome, an aluminum handled mini Revolver. Not sure if that would be feasible but it sure would be nice. ;)

Scott, as I said, your opinion means a lot to me since you are such an avid outdoors person, as does everyone elses opinions here.

I think a compact "Drop point" version with the same double cut saw, and a kydex sheath would make an awsome knife for hiking/backpacking or camping knife, it would be lighter, and you could carry it almost anywhere.

Any thoughts ?

A smaller version would probably be a hit in the bushcraft community also. :)

Would this be like a neck knife size?

I suggested Buck make a version of the smaller revolution with only a bottle opener on the opposing end for us indoor warriors. Their larger model has both a large clip mechanism and a bottle opener, but it's just too big to carry around.

I like the idea of a reversible rotating blade to get two tools out of one. It would be handy to have a non-sharp tool on one end to make it pocket-friendly. That would be a really cool alternative to a Swiss Army style knife.

Carl64,

It could be a neck carry knife, but most likely not "exposed" blade pocket friendly.

I think a compact version of the Revolver series would be a great knife. Just shrink these models down a bit.........for easier carry :D

Dpris, glad you stopped by. Yes I am waiting on a drop point non-serrated version too. :D

See if you can talk Spencer in to doing this for us next week..

Great idea...how about a no serations neck and mini without gut hook as has been mentioned...would make a great hit...i would definatly get one

Great idea, not to say that the regular revolver is all THAT BIG  I also like the idea of an aluminum handle. I do like the solid feel of the aluminum.

Scottsman, good to have you back :D , we are just tossing the idea around about a smaller size Revolver. So far the responses have been really positive.

I think it would make an awsome little knife that could do a lot.

Hi Robbie,

Been lurking. Work has just kept me busy, so no time for posting.

The small revolver is a really interesting idea. One thing to think about is sheath. Might be nice to have options (without going custom). One for the field and for daily carry, more compact for perhap IWB carry.

Cheers,
