Ron,

When will the mini vision come out and what will be the MSRP?
On one of the posts you have it listed as Aug. 15 - is it gonna make it on schedule? I thought it was gonna take much longer than that - I just ordered a PE14 - guess I should have held off for just a little longer and picked up the mini vision ... but I guess I'll always have time to pick one of those up later, right :)
While I'm at it - can you tell me how big the PE14 really is, and how big it feels - can it be used as an everyday carry, or is it too big for that? Oh yeah, and does it come with a pouch like the old SOGs did, or not? I really like the PE design, but I'm afraid it just might turn out to be too big for daily use ... :(

Thanks for the questions. I'll do my best to answer them for you.

The Mini X-Ray Vision was targeted for a mid-August release. I'm not heard that it's behind schedule, but typically, we use the "release date" as a goal. Even if we are "on target," it often takes a couple of months to fill the pre-orders for such a new release.

The price? It looks like the MSRP will be $84.95.

The PE14 (the Pentagon Elite) is a great knife. Many people do carry it daily. It is very comparable to the X-Ray Vision in size. With the Zytel handles, it is not too heavy to carry. I don't think you would be disappointed. I carried this knife for quite some time before converting to the Vision, then Night Vision, for EDC.

You did not say whether the SOG folders these days come with a pouch like they used to - that would be a great thing, since if do end up carrying PE14 for daily use, i do not like a 4" folder in my pocket - I had that problem with EDI Genesis before, it was a great knife and light weight, but it was too long in the pocket. So I wish I could carry the PE14 in a belt pouch ...

Oops...I'm very sorry! :) No, this knife does not come with a belt pouch. One can be purchased as an accessory. The reasoning on including pouches with certain of our folders is: They are included on large folders that do not have a pocket clip (such as the Tomcat, Sogwinder 2, Magnadot, etc.).
