Mini vs. Regular Griptilian

Ordered a set of Wilkins scales and a black Mini Grip to hopefully create an awesome EDC. Wilkins are on their way and I got the mini in the mail today. I am amazed at how different it feels from the regular Grip. The scales almost feel solid instead of the cheap hollow feel of its bigger brother. Although I'm excited about the Wilkins, I believe I would have been pretty happy without them. Anyone else have both and feel the same way?

I bought the mini first, was not satisfied with the handles and got some wilkins. They made it much better, but I really like the extra size of the larger griptilian, I have a set of cuscadi's on the way for it. I'll have to wait and find out which is better. :)

I love the mini and dislike the grip. Its not just the hollow feel, the full size grip is just too wide and bulky for my edc. It has good ergos for a work knife where a better grip is needed. But for now I prefer the mini for pocket carry. Custom scales would make it feel like a custom Im sure. I might look into some for my mini. Course I have a 707 for a more formal feel in the same size category.

The mini has full size steel liners, where the larger Grip has half size steel liners. This is the reason that the large Grip has a more hollow sound/feel to it. I've seen large Grips that have had expoxy put into the recess cavities of the scales. This eliminates that hollow feel/sound and gives a better weight in the body.

I might try the epoxy trick with my Large Grip.

Not to hijack but by chance does anyone have a side by side of the mini and the full size? I am thinking about a Ritter grip for a new EDC but don't know whether or not to get a full or mini.

I'm completely satisfied with the BM scales, I like the way they look and feel, no need at all to spend additional funds for so called 'custom'
scales/grips.

I like them both.

The mini, I bring to work. I also carry it alongside a larger blade sometimes when I go out.

The regular I take out once in awhile, I do prefer the 710 over it though. I'm gonna start carrying one of my SHOTshow G10 Grips actually. Get some M4 action ;)

Here's a side-by-side of a large and mini Grip. The Ritter ones are the same size as their Pardue counterparts, save for the blade shape.
