Mini Wilkins Grip question

Hi All,

I have a Ritter mini-Grip that I just love. Great lock, great steel, great blade shape, very solid, blade almost perfect size for EDC, but... the handle is just a little small in my hand and I am not a huge fan of the Noryl scales. I do love G-10 though.

I was wondering, if the converted knife fills the hand in a more satisfying way.

I've read that it "feels great" but for me, here, size matters :)

Thanks,
Mike

I can't speak for the minigrip, but I have a wilkins full size grip. I would say that it is just *barely* longer than the stock scales, and maybe a bit thicker.

Hi, thanks.

I have no complaints about the full size Ritter Grip. It really fills the hand nicely. A little big for the pocket for EDC though.

Thanks for the input,
Mike

I'v got you covered, just did a YouTube review of the Mini GripWilkins. That jeezy is up loading now, and should be live by the end of the day.

Not sure when or if Gary Moore at Moore cutlery has more or not? I believe under 10 sets are in the US? Give him a call and he will put you on the list.

Btw, he is a great guy! You will enjoy talking with him

Cool, tell me what to search for and I will check it out when it is up.

Did you find the mini-grip to be unsatisfying to hold (a bit too small)?

Do you find the Wilkins grip to be more satisfying to hold? The mini just does not fill my hand in a satisfying way. Other than that I love it.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

I do find the MiniGrip to be a little small. The Wilkins scales take care of this IMO. Funny you ask, I shot the video last night after all the kids knocked out for the night. Then today this thread pops up. Small world I guess?

I will link the video here when it's live

So-Lo,

Just checked out your video on YouTube. Very nice. I think you hit on what bothers me about the mini-grip handle. It ramps down too much in the back and my palm/little finger are left wanting. I can see how the Wilkins does much better in this respect.

Now I gotta convince myself to spend the money. I have bought lately:
- Large and small Ritter grips
- Spyderco Sage
- Benchmade mini-dejavoo

My wallet is a little sore... :D

Do you think these will be offered long term or is it "get 'em while you can"?

Thanks,
Mike

Not sure if they will be a regular item or not? Keven and Gary like money so I would bet they will be a regular item.

They are worth the extra cash

So-Lo, could you post a link to your video or tell me what to search for on you tube ? I must be a real dummy, I can't find it. :o Thanks
