Is the mini X Ray a knife with SAT?

Does SAT make it classified as something other than a regular folder? i.e. switch blade?

Thanks.

Just read the thread.. whoa. I can't believe all of that over a blade under two inches.

Do you think that any part of the Mini X Ray could cause me trouble?

Alot of people wont see any difference between SAT and a switchblade. I always put my hand on the back of the blade so it doesnt snap open around people that might get upset over it. I know its silly, but it might save you some grief at work or other places. I think some cities and states are now making specific provisions for this kind of knife. My guess is they are classifying them as switchblades. I don't know if they set any minimum blade length. If anyone knows some specifics I would be interested.

I have never handled a knife with SAT.. but I am glad that I didn't get a Flash, but a regular Mini X-Ray instead. I don't need the hassle.

It may sound as overkill, but these days it's not a bad idea to open all knives slowly with two hands when in public. That includes folders with Spyderholes and thumbstuds.

It may be flashier to do it one handed, fast and slick, but people are very "security conscious" and tend to overreact. It's almost as if they want a excuse to do so. Just put up an LED light board ad campaign these days.

This is old news, old as in 20 years old. People overreacting to knife owners flashing bali-songs since the 80s. Nowadays, they'd probably be described as terrorists with switchblades.
