:D this one was made in a sort of a bet some time ago. I'm posting it here just for fun :p. It is long around 1/12 of an inch. Mods, if you think that this don't belong here (re)move it please

C'mon mate, you've only done half a job there.....where's the sheath?:D

Seriously though.....impressive stuff.

can we get a close up of your makers mark?:cool:

Okay, tell the truth, how many did you lose before you finished this one? :D

But seriously, I just have to ask, is that thing HTed, and is it sharp? (or does it even matter at that size?)

I mean, it's still amazing either way, but I just can't imagine being able to ht something like that, let alone even sharpen it.

And, am I imagining things, or is that a copper bit on the handle? And what is the handle?

Okay, okay, sorry, but I am just having trouble imagining making something that small.

Thanks, and once again, that thing is amazing!

That might be more of a micro or nano! Reminds me of a story a friend--I sort of apprenticed with in his retirement--told me many years ago in the Appalachians. Augustus Tangey had been a metallurgist in Belgium. He told me of a time when his shop was challenging a shop in Japan as to who did the best work. Gus's team made the smallest drill bit they could and sent to Japan thinking they had them whipped. The folks in the shop in Japan hollowed it out and sent it back! You sure your not Belgian or Japanese?

Thank you all for the nice words.. when i was making this knife i discovered that the main thing is to have something to hold on to :) i took a thin strip of steel, about 1/4 inch wide and did a profile of the blade with a dremell tool with a cuting disc and with a fine stone. Made the bevels on a fine stone by hand, again with a dremell and with fine files did a tang. When that is done comes the scary part.. i cut of the blade from the "main body" with a nail clipper, then you realise how small blade actualy is (did lost 3 or 4 pieces ). For the guard i ponded thin piece of copper wire and made the hole with the needle. Cut that of with nail clipper. I thined the sawing needle, put it in the dremmel, and made the hole in the piece of wood (thick as mach) for a tang. Then i held the blade with a tweezers, put the guard on the tang and dip the tang in a drop of super glue. put that in the piece of wood, and with the 1000 grit sand paper, slowly work the handle. When it was thin enough, i cut of the knife from the rest of the wood.. it was not easy, but relaxing in some strange way  .. as for the sheath, i was thinking of finding small worm and stabing it with the knife :p . It's not HT-ted or anything, thus the hesitation of posting it here because, in a way, it does not take that much effort to make something like this as it takes to make fine pieces we see on the forum every day. Thanks
P.S. sorry for my bad English
