I just finished making this miniature Texas Toothpick out of a piece of damascus that I had left over from another project. The scales are made of black linen micarta. The knife has brass pins and liners, and nickel silver bolsters. It's 3 1/4 inches closed, and the blade is 2 1/2 inches long.
Enjoy! -chris

Thanks Bruce. Where did you get your banner? It looks really cool. I may be contacting you soon about making me up some damascus. Who knows when I'll get my hammer working. -chris

A friend of mine that is here on the forums designed the banner for me.His name is ebbtide on the forums. What do you think of it,I think it looks COOL!!!!
I would be glad to make you some Damascus,But you could just come up one day and do some sweating yourself and make some if you would like...

I like that toothpick! The damascus looks great, with the relatively large pattern. With the sort of subdued scales, the knife just quietly exudes quality, IMO. Very nice!

Wow Chris, that is very nice!!! When are you going to do a tutorial on slip joints? Maybe a video?:D

Whoa, Chris, that rocks! Talk about class. That's a nice pattern and it looks great with your choice of scales and bolsters. Truly fine, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for all of the positive comments. The damascus came from a piece of random patern that I got a while back from Sheffield Knifemakers Supply. I was disappointed in the damascus when I got it because I was hoping for a tighter pattern. It ended up looking good on this knife though.

Bruce, I may take you up on your offer and get you to show me how you make some of your great looking damascus. I need to finish working on my little giant, but I just keep putting it off.

L6steel, I've been thinking of making a slip-joint tutorial. I have some basic shop tools, but I do a lot of the work by hand. I've also come up with a few methods that I've not found in books which make it easier using the tools I have.
