Miniature Imperial Hatchet/plug cutter?

Hi Guys

Here is a miniature Imperial hatchet that was thrown in when I bought a CW folder and Georgian folding fruit fork decades ago. The gentleman I bought it from was selling them for a Lady who was going in a nursing home. He told me that the small hatchet was a plug cutter and used by her husband. I have never seen another and just wondered what it really was. I would guess he used it for a plug cutter but wonder what the initial intent was.

It is beside a miniature Colonial crossbar folder similar to the "Shur Snaps" they made in the 50s-60s. I would love to see pics of others especially if there are different styles, scales etc.

Thanks Trent, that is a neat one.

PS I should have said this.

My little hatchet does NOT fold.

It is pretty sharp which was at least touched up after it was bought I'm sure. I wonder if it had a sheath.

Thanks Irv. I tought I had responded but am on the new palm today.

So I have a "Bucaneer" axe.(novalty item) I guess he just used it to cut tobacco. I have wonded about it for a long time.

I knew IRV would help you out CopDoc

It's a BuckAROO!!!

Good luck finding the sheath on this one!!

Thanks, "Buckaroo", I should not be allowed to work and surf at the same time. It is hard to go back to the little screen on my Palm.

My Gosh, I think I have almost the whole collection of Imperials if I can find another cigar box or 2 from the my high school days.

I was glad to see the tool kit knife also. I found out I may be missing a blade and have a small screwdrive instead. I also realize they might have changed the pattern so I will not throw it away. :) It is an Ulster but looks very much the same. Do you post Ulsters on this forum?

Ulsters, Kingstons, SCC, Schrade, Imperial, Even known to have a Colonial or 3 in here.
