Miniature model 14/15

Hello all. I am not a society member yet but I'm hoping someone can help me. A friend of mine piced up one of these at a show in CT this weekend and was told there will be 3000 of these produced(his is #1622). also told there was a "transponder" in the handle to verify authenticity. Could someone please elaborate. I also picked up my second Randall, a model 16 w/ green micarta,double finger guard, and sawteeth. Thanks Shawn

There are going to be 3000 made..... but there is no transponder this time. They had done that on one of the three other modern minis (models #25, #1, #3). Another note.... there was only 1500 each of the #25, #1, and #3 made.

You'll see #14 minis on ebay for around $450......
