I'm a relatively new Spydie convert and I just got a 80 mm Manix and am blown away! It feels heavy, tough, and pretty much indestructable. I am shopping for a second model in a similar vein and am thinking of a paramilitary. Anyone have any comments on it or perhaps other suggestions? I don't mind bulky at all. Preferably Spyderco but am open to all brands. I am looking for very heavily built, no linerlocks(already had one bad experience with one) and around $135 or less. Thanks alot guys, this is a great set of forums and I am having a blast and meeting some great folks here(bigkahunasix  especially).

I would go with a Spyderco Caly 3. It is almost rediculous how razor sharp that blade is, and it WILL NOT let you down. I would also look into the police model or any of the militarys. Your on the right track.

well i have the larger manix and i always pair that beast up with my caly 3
both have that similar coil which i find extremely comfortable. i carry the manix for the big jobs and whip out the caly when i dont want that holy sheeeeit response from people. zdp carbon fiber caly is something to check out but its slightly higher than your price range

I should also mention I have the new FG Endura 4 which I also love and a SE Navigator on the way for smaller jobs.

to keep with the heavier built ones check out some of the emersons cqc7 in particular as well as the benchmade rukus

If you're looking for heavily built, I would recommend the Benchmade mini Rukus or even full-size Rukus if you're crazy enough.

Sticking to Spyderco though, the Para Millie or Millie should fit the bill.

i have too agree..
spyderco para military..or the military
benchmade ruckus/mini ruckus

You will probably be very happy with the Para Military. It is one of my favorite knives.

Caly3 is a great knife. I EDC it since they come out, and it is almost perfect EDC, at least for me. I love this knife. Full flat grind, leaf shape 3" blade. (3" is legal limit in many places, so it good to have). Finger choil with traction grooves, low riding wire clip. Very comfortable handle and very smooth lock.Cannot think about any knife better.
But if you are looking for heavily built knife you need to go with Chinook or ATR or Lil Temperance or at least full size Persian.
The last three models are discontinued, but still can be found.
