nice, curious why you didn't etch the Suminagashi to show the pattern?

of course a second etch is possible and should give more contrast , the current etch is not very visible due the light

These look great, love the simplicity.
One comment. Instead of the rear of the handle being rounded could you follow the shape of the blade?
