This is borderline silly, but I figure you all will understand. :) I'm doing a small happy-dance because I stumbled across a 1998 large Regular, which (obviously) has a BG-42 blade, for a price that I consider very fair. The truly amazing thing is that I found it before Lisa did, which I consider a pretty good feat. :p I know I'm not supposed to say this in the Reeves' presence, but my favorite Sebenza blade, and one of the best-performing blades in any of my knives, is a 1997 small Regular, so I'm looking forward to adding a large BG-42. Yeah, the S30V and now S35VN blades are great, but... :D

I hear ya. I've got a NIB regular profile small zig zag graphic with BG42 in a safety deposit box among its peers that I've resisted fetching and using for years.

How about this madness: Years ago when CRK made the swtich from BG42 to S30V, I had just acquired 4 NIB small regulars with BG42. Assuming S30V was the latest and greatest, I sent them in to CRK to have the blade steel switched out to S30V. One of those slap-hand-to-forehead afterthought moments...

Professor.

If it's the one I think it is, you did get a good price. It's been sitting there, bothering me for days. Congrats!

The website that doesn't have a web ordering arrangement? ;) I looked around at comparables and decided it would be crazy to let it go by. :D

Come on Lisa...we all know you gave JNewell the chance and passed it up on purpose. ;)

There ya go, I knew there was a good reason it was still available! :D Thanks, Lisa!

Here's a pic from the seller's website:

Excellent score. I love my large regular BG-42 Seb. Smoothest Seb I have ever owned.

Aye, well done. The large Regular in BG-42 is where it's at. :)

Yep, just a phone number. ;) I'm glad that one's going to someone (among many here) who will really appreciate it. I have a few BG's, but it was still tempting. For days!

I remembered last night that you and I were in the same places (in reverse) a while back when I was looking at the anniversary Seb that another dealer had for sale. I came about this ->||<- close to buying that, and was very glad that you'd bought that one! :)
