I was thrilled as can be when my Offset came in today, but I noticed a minor blemish in the blade after thoroughly inspecting my new favorite knife.
It has a recessed dimple in the blade on the flat ground section before it transitions to the hollow ground section. (molded technically, not ground
) Its very hard to see with the coating but it can be easily felt with my finger. It is about the width of my pinky fingertip and is only on one side.
So my question is, should I live with it or send it in to Kershaw? I don't think it will compromise any usefulness, but it bugs me. This is the most expensive knife I have ever bought so I kinda want it to be as perfect as it can be. What do you guys think?
Sorry for the large pic but this was the best shot I could get of it. The dimple is just to the left of the transition in this pic.
