Minor rust in pivot areas of PM2

I neglected a nice S90V CF Para2, and now it has some rust in its nether regions. This pic is very close up and makes it look worse than it looks to the naked eye:

I will take it apart and clean it up with a nylon brush, but I wonder what magic fluids I should use while doing that. Any suggestions?

Take it apart and use steel wool, or very fine -2000 gr sand paper. Or dremel with wire brush.

I use steel wool the 0000 grit. Or at least that's what the box says. Works a treat. And if it's a little think in the rust a little 4 in 1 on the steel wool.

Btw I picked mine up at ace hardware.

A toothbrush and a shot of BreakFree CLP should work.
