We pulled in mid afternoon, set up the tent and prep'd our food on the Coleman white gas two burner. Some Pacific Golden chanterelles and some lobster mushrooms I snatched that morning, sauteed in unsalted butter and pork sausages, served over roasted potato and garlic

it's now my opinion that fire roasted marshmallows are better with hot chocolate than raw ones

it rained all day the next day, starting first thing. On again, off again, and not so cold as to be miserable or as stormy as to be dangerous- dank like PNW fall can be

this guy inspired a new knife design that I'm super amped on. I usually try and draw a few different patterns during a camping trip, but I really was just feeling the lines this time and have what I think is pretty much a 'perfect' design.

Mako wasn't super relaxed, but she's getting the hang of it. I'm starting to think on getting a camping trailer so we can get out and do this more often

the next day, the marine layer burnt off and the sky opened. Perfect fall day on the island
