Mirrior polishes

I dont know how to mirror polish blades! and thats not good. ahah but i want to mirrior polish my spyderco presistance (8cr13mov steel), is it possible to get a mirrior polish on the entire blade :confused: ? :confused: please help!

it depends on the steel. some wont take a mirror finish well while others take one very easily. i mirror polished this knife and it took several hours with most of the work done by hand. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=582180 i did buff the blade on a high speed buffer to finish it up.

this is not the method i used on the above knife but it will still work. get some wetordry 3m paper in grits from 400 up to 1500 or finer and lay a sheet on a piece of glass and start polishing through the grits. buffing a blade that small would be both tricky and dangerous.
