I recently got a Hunter that had a fair amount of staining and forced a patina on it but hated the results.

On Sunday, after a few hours of elbow grease managed to put a mirror polish on the blade and really like the results.

Very nice!

Details on the process?

Thanks thurin.

Basically sandpaper progression 400>800>1200>1600>2000 with light pressure and following left to right strokes followed by MAAS metal polish (Any polish would work).

I made sure that the scratch lines from last ( Lower ) grit were gone before progressing further. Took about 3 Hours.

Nicely done. 3 hours. Yikes.
