I recently bought one of these beauties.

Does anyone know how many of these were made and what the production year was? The blade stamp does not provide the date code. Thanks in advance.

Some one has put a 2007 Founder Edition 110 blade into a 560.
 
Those are buildouts from Buck. I picked up one just recently from a factory sale list direct from Buck.

Build outs I think are the best pure collectible Buck for the money...There always a short run,sometimes combine parts from different models,look really cool for the most part,and best of all we [freinds of Buck,BCCI] get first shot at buying them!

i really trys to scarf on these when i can..
but of late i is broke so ...
yep them odd ones are pure collectables!
 
The 560bk w/ black nitrite coated handle must have come out in like 1994 and was still listed in the 1999 catalog . I don't remember seeing the black after that and the entire model ended in 2001 . So, I guess there were a lot made . DM
