I usually do it to my other knives, nothing fancy or crazy. Just a nice semi polish. But the recurve...i don't have the wicked edge or anything. I use a smiths guided rod and sand paper all the way to 2500 then strop with flitz. But the recurve is a bummer for me. With a little patience and enginuiety anything can be done. I need help or any thoughts on accomplishing such task. Thanks

I found some pics that you took of black mini commander you sold a few months back. Was that put on the ken onion? And if so what media did you use?

1" PVC pipe, a 12" long section, some various grits of sandpaper, start at around 600 and work your way up.

+1^^ I will also use a larger diameter piece for larger knives. What I like to do is cut the pipe length wise in to 3 and have a few curved sticks to work with. I will sometimes glue or tape the sandpaper to them as well turning it into a curved emery stick.

I'll have to try the pvc pipe trick with the sand paper. I always enjoy custom making things to suit my needs. Thanks guys

Another thing that works well is a rubberized roller out of a printing press or a copier.

I see your rubber roller from a copier and raise you one Pringles can sir. ;)

In all seriousness though, just about any 1.5" (more or less) diameter device wrapped in sandpaper will work. Broom stick, mop handle, soca can, etc. Let me know how it works out, I'l\d like to know what your experience and results are. ;)
