Hello,

As you can see, I'm a complete newb here @ BF.... so if I screw up during this post, please bear with me.

I already ran this past Mike Stewart over in the Blackjack Forums. Very informed and amazingly patient guy. Props to Mike!!!
Now I'd like to see what the other-side-of-the-equation's take is on this.

I guess photos have to be inserted via an http address (someone please help if there's a different way), so here's the page from My Ebay...

Apparently, this is a FACTORY MIRROR POLISHED BK&T TacTool, made by Blackjack BITD when they were @ Effingham. The seller descr. says its stainless, won't know till it gets here. Mike says they were made in 2 sizes, and 3 finishes - Blk / Gry powder and Satin. He does not recall any BK3, or any other Becker made by Blackjack, being Mirror Polished or Stainless.

Compared to my well-used (and well-liked ) Camillus version, this one has a shorter 6" blade, smaller (they look file cut, not machined) serrations for half the blade length, shorter gut hook, more obtuse bevel angle on all sides, and other more subtle differences. And for a 12-16yr old knife, the blade shows no rust, corrosion, spotting, or any other familiar characteristics of Carbon Steel.

Any info, comments, ideas are welcome and greatly appreciated (read: Desperately Needed!). Maybe Mr Becker could shed some light???

Thanks again and keep up the excellent job you guys do here!
Now, after all this time spent reading this forum, I finally have something to contribute!!!

Marcus

I've never seen one like that before. Some of the other guys are more knowledgeable than I am, though, and may know something about it. I'd be interested to hear about it.

Thank you sir, thats what I've been hearing from others too.

Even when I saw it listed, I thought it was just some homemade polished deal.... until I really looked at it and saw the BK&T / Effingham stamps!
The few Blackjack Beckers that people have mentioned (mostly BK-2s) were all gray powder and unmarked.

Hopefully someone here can help
