I was brousing ebay a while ago and things started poping up that are either alike or very similar to whats in my miscellaneous junque drawer. Was very entertained for a while.

So in the junk is a F. Dick 14" steel with a stag handle. So drag out the Blade Bible and is a fairly intersting history. They started in 1788, but since this one says Made in Germany is not near that old. I guess would be harder to pin a date on it other than whenever they made th eimports say what country they came from. But anyhow,,,BG put a $50 to $75 value on it. I was surprised.

Then down in there is a WWI German trench knife in a metal sheath. I haven't checked in BG yet, but a similar one on ebay was over $150. Duh.....

So on to a Gerber Shorty in a sheath....another $100 bucks or so for a similar one on the bay.

And I know somewhere in the mix is a 1943 stamped bayonet with the sheath.

Along with a couple of saps.....yeah, the ones with the lead sticthed in a leather holder... Can you sell these as curious, because I know they have to be illegal.

But alas,,,no Bucks that were awol , well other than an Adrenalin TI and I am still trying to figure how it got in there...
And I didn't even get off into miscellaneous old oddball knives.

So whats in your junque stuff that goes along with our knife addiction.

Stuff that is unbelievable....I never throw anything away. :D

I keep my old hunting and driver's licenses, glasses, oddball knives,
coins, knives of every description other than Buck:eek:

My wife cycles my junque about every five years and puts
the treasures in the garage.

When I go through the boxes and paper sacks about every five or six years,
I feel like I found a new toy.:D

You mean, you mean, you let your wife go through your toy room???

:D :D

Since I have moved 4 times in the last couple years my junk drawer (s) have been dumped in the garbage and some, in boxes. Don't remember where those boxes got to either but I know they contain the odd handful of Buck pocket knives, old fishing/hunting liscense, (why do we keep them EEE?), bits of string, super glue, stuff like that.
Of course, some have called my office a very large junk drawer...I can't argue.

My junk drawer's consist of a 2 story barn, the old chicken coop that's packed full, mower shed and gas shed. They are all full of 100 years, 2 generations of pack ratting. Seems like every time I turn over a crate or open some box it's like Christmas. Yes even an old blade once in a while. I found the original Bowie in an old tackle box, got to be true, it said Original Bowie right on the blade.;)

I’ll tell you one reason we keep old hunting licenses. Last year the wooden mounts for the downrigger in our fishing boat finally rotted to the point that we decided to remove the downrigger. Nobody had used it in a few seasons. Guess nobody wants to go after lake trout in a lake that hasn’t seen a lake trout in some time. Anyway, we removed the four bolts that held the unit on and under each is an old hunting license from the 1970s. Each one had been folded into a little pill and the bolt had been shoved through to make a washer. Old hunting licenses are not garbage. They are washers.

Wow!!! Field Expedience! :D

I don't know about the other states, but here, to get a new license, you have to produce an old license...or take (& pay) the Hunter Safety Training Program all over again...

I like to have spares...just in case I lose one... ;)
