I know Outdoorsfan started a thread like this a while back but i couldn't find it quickly and I'm one of those impatient millennials I suppose ;)

anyway, found myself missing my hikers lately, and my Riverwoods companion,

I knew I would when i let them go, ho hum, it's a fickle habbit :p

wondered if anyone else misses a knife they've had to let go?

I know I do. Most of all a Randall Model 1 that was stolen from my truck years ago, and the other was a Chris Reeve Pheasant Tail small Sebenza, that I had to sell when I lost my job. The saddest part is I know I will never be able to replace them.

I have a few that I have sold in the past that I would like to have back. One of which was an awesome JK Hudson Bay firekit. Like you said, it is a fickle habit.

Same. My Lobo, Field knife, and a few others. I've owned many, sold many, and still have over thirty knives.

I don't feel so bad about the one's I've sold off, it's the couple I've lost somehow that really ticks me off,
A CR Sebenza and a small Uncle Henry stag lock back...

I hope that somebody found them and made good use of them both, I tend to be a little absent minded when I go fishing
and I'm sure I left both where just sitting there by the lake or creek bed.

I lost both about a year apart.

I had the opposite of this happen recently. I found a Cold Steel Voyager on the front lawn that must have fallen out of my pocket when I was shoveling snow and spent a few months under several feet of snow. There was some rust on the blade but it came right off with a scotch brite pad. Also found a Kershaw folder yesterday that I have not seen since the move.

gee, thanks, Sean, lucky git :)

i can only remember losing 1 knife, the SAk John re handled for me, I'm still looking but I have no idea where it could be, as far as I knew it was sitting in my hiking pack, then one day I went to get it and it wasn't there!

thanks a whole different kind of grief, i feel ya :)
