I wish this were a catchy title for a cool thread with pics of my muddy meaner in action, unfortunately it is what it is. I've "misplaced" my MMS. I looked everywhere I thought it might be this morning and couldn't find it. I'm afraid I dropped it on the range at an IDPA match either this weekend or last. I'm afraid it's gone for good. I plan to contact some of the guys and offer a reward if it doesn't turn up with a more thorough search this evening. I'm really, really bummed as I'd pretty much decided it was to be user, which is why I was carrying it. I may have to take this as a sign to buy another...

p.s. Did I mention that cyberspace ate the "want" list I sent to my proxy:(

Absolutely no humor there :( Good Luck, it's like losing a good friend, Oh who am I kidding, it's way worse than that

I feel for you Greg. I "missplaced" a DCBB AD with green linen slabs while at my restaurant. By the time I remembered I had left it on a shelf in the store room and went to retrieve it, it grew legs. I know which of my little thug bastid employees took it, but I couldn't prove it. It likely got traded for a joke amount of money for drugs and Lord only know where it landed. I figure it is in a police evidence room by now or sitting where some kid can get his hands on it to do wrong. Sickens me and if I could ever prove the kid took it, I'd kick his hinder out of principle.

I've lost a few good knives over the years but always find them hidden in the house. Thought I lost my Sebenza the other day untill I went to wash...had left it in my pants pocket 2 days earlier.

Lost some cheaper pocket knives over the years but never anything nice like a Busse.

Sure hope it turns up Greg....Good Luck

Double bummer on the ganza.

I own a restaurant as well, and hate cardboard laying around. I thought I had lost a really nice Benchmade while cutting cardboard, until one the employees "found it" two days later. Pain in the ass them employees are...

ABout two years ago, I was out spring turkey hunting in the fields and hills of Kentucky. AFter walkig through a field on a ridgetop, I arrived at my vehicle to discover my Public Defender was AWOL. With the dark blade and greenish handles, I had little hope for recovery, but found it in 10 minutes. As a kid, I made a habit of walking across fields from one point, like a distinguishable tree, to another (in this case, a barn), to make searches and such easier, and the practice apparently worked. Hope yours turns up.

Greg that sucks:thumbdn:

The only good news is that there seems to be a run of ADs happening at Busse so you might get a new one for $200 rather than $375 in the aftermarket.

That sucks bro. I think Cobalt misplaced a blade a while back and had a thread on it. But I think after a few days he found it. I hope the same happens here. ;)

Got to put bright colored lanyards on those earth colored bad boys.

I lost my first AD a few years back.... Just found it after I got back from blade... so with luck it will turn up eventually

A friend of mine is going to the range this evening and said he'd look for it. I'm going to call everyone I rode around the range with last weekend to see if maybe it feel out in their truck and they haven't found it yet. I've looked in all the obvious places at home, I haven't given up hope yet and I did shoot Amy an email, hoping that she'll pity the pig (me). Need to go buy a big magnet and head to the range this evening.

Found it! I was digging around in the small backpack I carry to work everyday looking for something else and there it was. I was excited and relieved. Really need to get a proper sheath for it. I think I'll celebrate this evening by using her. Thanks for all the support folks. I love this place almost as much as the knives, almost:D

Carry on...

That was Heavy. Cobalt lost an SHBM in a river he won't name, for fear Hogs would dredge it's whole length, or drown during recovery attempts. ;)

For a free Busse on behalf of Cobalt I would dredge an entire river, where!
