Well guys, I haven't checked in here to the forums in a little over a month, and I must say that I have missed reading everyone's posts and hanging out with you great bunch of guys and the couple of girls here.

I had some family stuff to deal with and a few other projects that I needed to get done and I felt like I needed to take some time off of my knife addiction so I could focus all my energy on those other things.

I am glad to be back and have a lot of posts to catch up on.

On a side note, I haven't bought any new knives in almost two months!! That's a big deal, no, a Huge deal if you knew how many I was buying every month. It's amazing how easy it is when you stay off the exchange and the auction site. lol

So I did pick up a few old hobbies too. I started fishing again and I am thinking about getting a fishing kayak. Never done the Kayak thing. Any thoughts? I really missed catching fish being that I grew up in the bayous of South Louisiana and used to fish everyday. I am hoping to do some overnight camping/fishing trips as well.

Not much else going on in my world but I hope to get some knife pictures, mods, and reviews up real soon.

Here are a few pics I thought you all might enjoy.

This one is of the crazy sunset we had a couple of weeks ago. It was absolutely beautiful!

This is the around 2 pound bass (my fish scale was a little rusted) I caught and made fish Tacos out of. So good. And it was the first time that I cleaned a fish with a Becker. I decided not to get out my old fillet knives and give the BK-15 a go at it. Worked great!
Maybe we need a Bk-15 fillet knife in stainless with a more flexible blade!

And here is a picture of a spot that I found so relaxing and peaceful while I was out hiking and fishing.

This. Looks. Surreal. Those clouds are like a matte for a sci-fi scene. Thanks for sharing.

Good to see you back. I spend a lot less time on the forums over the summer because I'm busy doing things outdoors and enjoying the extra daylight. When winter comes I'm usually on the couch with my iPad a little more often ;)

Welcome back! Thanks for sharing! Looks like a great place to explore in that last picture.

Glad to see you back, beautiful pics too! I headed out to Boerne lake a couple weeks ago and wondered how you were doing..

Thanks Guys and Nikki!

Glad to be back on here again. And yes I think it is good to take a break sometimes.

I'm glad you all liked the pictures. Wish I would have had my real camera handy instead of my iPhone for that sunset. It was incredible.

And I do plan on going back to that creek with my good camera and taking more pics. It was so Awesome. Took a short video of the water running with my phone, maybe I'll do an upload or something later.

Man, I made that sig yesterday. My first one, and man is that thing small. Got to redo it I guess. lol

Took me almost an hour tho to get that one. Haha, I will figure it out!

Thanks cOLD.

Did you do any fishing there?

The funny part was we didn't actually make it all the way to the lake... such is life with a 2 year old :)

Hoping to get out there soon though, I have swam there 100s of times, but never fished. Is the fishing any good?

Ha, I hear ya, I have a 14month old little boy myself and know exactly what you mean.

I haven't fished there yet since everyone I've talked to said it is better with a boat. I might rent one there or pick up a kayak off craigslist soon tho and I'll let you know.

Do you live around this way?

I have been looking for somewhere to take my son to try out a little bank fishing, but I figured about the same as what you said... I think you would need a boat to do any serious fishing there. I'm on the NW side of San Antonio. I used to drive out there 3 or 4 times a week to cool off in the lake after work, but I have only been a couple times in the last 5 or 6 years.

Thats cool. You should try the Cibolo Nature Center. It's right on the Cibolo Creek in Boerne. Beautiful place to go. It's where I took that last picture and where I've been doing a lot of fishing. They just don't allow you to keep the fish there, catch and release only. But well worth the trip for sure.

Here is a short video of the creek in the picture.
The quality is not so great since it was shot with my phone but you all should get an idea of how beautiful it is.

Enjoy
