Hello to All,
I had a friend send back a knife to me by DHL shipping service. It was a Dog Bone Bowie, a reproduction of the Kimball knife. they said it was delievered to my door steps Tuesday 2 weeks ago. I was home waiting for it so I know that was not true. This is the first chance I have had to let the all of you know about it, I have been out of town for over a week. We have done all we can for finding it, so if anyone happens to see or hear about it please let me know. I am trying to down load a picture of the knife, but I have not figured out how to do it yet, any help would be surely appricated, There is a picture of it in the thread The Bowies of the Blade Show 2005. I will try to get a picture of it on here later,
Thanks to all ,
Billybob

Bill Sowell asked me to post a picture of the knife for him since it was most likely 'stolen' and might turn up for sale on eBay or at a show somewhere.

Stories like this give me nightmares. I sure do hope it turns up. That is a gorgeous bowie.

I have had similar problems with DHL, they never bother to deliver anything directly to me, best I can get is a knock and him speeding away by the time I open the door. They once delivered a $1,000 TnT to my neighbor who I don't know, almost didn't get it back. They suck!

But, if the knife was insured, and they don't have a signature, shouldn't you be able to file a claim?

DHL once left a package for my wife on the deck of a vacant house four houses away from ours. We found it after it had been rained on several times. I think this firm should go through an attitude change! ---Sandy---

I hear about stuff like this too darn often. Hopefully Billy Bob's friend will get his knife back, but I doubt it. It would break my heart to lose such a nice Sowell knife.
