Missing Global

Hi,

I hope that you might be able to help me. MY friend is an ex-professional chef and has a set of Global knives, he's had them for years and they hold great sentimental value for him as he's taken them where ever he's been and they're been a source of pride, they've always been with him etc.

A year or so ago he mentioned to me that one had gone missing/ been stolen at some point and there is one missing from his set and its really annoying because it was the one he probably used most. I thought nothing of it at the time, but for christmas I would like to get him the missing knife from his set.

Naturally I would love it to be a surprise so I don't want to ask him which knife is missing from the set.


his set currently contains:

GS 11 15cm flex blade

GS 5 14cm vegetable knife

GSF 15 8cm peeling knife

G4 18cm oriental knife

G21 16cm flex boning knife




I can't find a set to buy which includes all these knives.

Just wondered if anyone knew or had a good guess at which one might be missing from the set.

And he doesn't need a bread knife as all these knives cut bread like butter (his words not mine).

I'm quite sure it is the 20cm chef's knife G-2, which is by the way one of their best ones.

So, you're hoping one of us is psychic? If it's the knife he used the most, Benuser is likely right, that he's missing the chef's knife. Surely you can think of some ploy, some innocent sounding question that will reveal which one is missing. Otherwise you're SOL, barring a visit from Carnac the Magnificent. ;')
