Being most people wouldn't know a brand name knife, from a generic one made in China, maybe the owner figured that was good enough.

Years ago ( many years ) I worked doing paint & body , small dealership so we took turns answering the phones and also assisting at the parts counter.
Customer came in and needed a water pump.
Customer: I need a water pump.
Me: OK , what kind of car ?
Customer: Pontiac.
Me: ok
, what model ?
Customer: Blue Pontiac.
Me : Do you know the model ,year and engine ?
Customer: No , its a blue 2 door pontiac , black interior.
Me: I need the model , year and engine size.
Customer: Dunno , its blue. I don't know how to open the thing to see the engine. Bought it 3 years ago , havent been able to open it since.
Me: be right back.... go around the corner and proceed to laugh and kick stuff.
Me: Ok , I checked , we are all out of water pumps for
Blue Pontiacs , I do have red and black in stock but I don't think they interchange , . Perhaps try the auto parts store down the street , they stock parts for all colors...err cars.
