Missing shield

So this morning I dropped my Canal Street stockman while digging for change at the farmers market. I picked it up, put it back into my pocket and went about my business. When I got home I realized that the shield was missing. Does anyone know where I might get a "bow tie" shield that is 1 1/16" long? I don't really care what it says or if it's plain. I just want the recessed area in the Ebony handle filled so that it feels flush again. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Did you ever consider contacting Canal Street Cutlery? I know that they are "out of business", that doesn't mean nobody checks their email, or answers a phone.

The Fort, I've got a shield I can send you, just send me your address through this email addy: ealbers@hvc.rr.com

Is it an AAPK shield? I may have that, if not I definitely have plain ones.

That is really cool of you Eric. Good on you. I sincerely hope all is well for you and the rest of the folks from CSC.

Accolades to Eric for his generous, helpful response to The Fort's request!:thumbup:
Residents of The Porch amaze me every day; you'd think I'd get used to it after seeing daily examples of kindness and generosity here, but I hope I never get jaded about such behavior!

Doing OK guys, I haven't been on here as much as I'd like due to working my tail off. Got a decent cooking job at a restaurant nearby (that's what I did before the knife bug hit lol), and I've also been slowly setting up a shop of my own out in the garage. It's been a slow process but I'm almost there. I can't wait to get a cuttler's hammer in my hand again!!

Haven't heard much from the other guys lately, they all scattered looking for jobs. last I heard everyone's gotten settled in though. We didn't have a lot of people there, everything was accomplished with about eight to ten guys and gals on average, so we were close enough to keep in touch. Gonna have to try to get a little reunion dinner going sometime to catch up.

Eric, It's good to hear that everyone has gotten settled in. And I look forward to seeing the knives from your own shop.

It good to hear from you Eric, and glad that everyone from CSC has settled in to a new place:thumbup:
