I'll be pre-ordering a BK-16 at 1SKS if I can talk the wife into it.

She says no more knives until may 1, but I won't get it until after may 1 probably, so, we'll see.

May? I pre-ordered and today they sent me an email saying the expected ship date is March 30.

ship date is supposed to be april 1st, which works out to the following monday... but hey, maybe they go early, who knows.

I am however excited about another upcoming review, and about the fact that the BK17 is getting one step closer to in my hands.

In other news, the Condor Bushlore I ordered to compare it to arrived yesterday, and the MK1 is coming in today, so I have something to play with until then.

My Wife-Unit approved of it because I told her that 1) I was being involved in a preproduction passaround and needed to do a good review and 2) that the knives I was purchasing to review against it were belated gifts to my father (The Bushlore), and one of my close friends (The MK1) and would be given away.

True story.

Problem is that I told myself and my wife that I won't be buying any more knives until the BK17, and then after that I wouldn't buy one for a while after that. HOWEVER, if a BK5 shows up in a contest, I'll surely do what I can to win one.

So yea, at this point, I'm more excited about the BK17 than I am about anything else, so its getting funding priority.

My unit doesn't even know about the passaround yet. :D I will try to hide it from her and if she finds out I will say a friend is letting me borrow it for a week. :D
