Missing Threads

I have noticed some threads made that are now missing from the GLWJ subforum, includung one of mine titled "Any News?" that was posted early last November, just disappeared with in lhe last week. If I might ask, what's up with this?

I have my options set to autosubscribe to threads I post in, so until I unsubscribe I can always find an oldie.

You probably have it set at something like 100 days or so. I specify: Show all threads

Mine is set to "Forum Default". I show many older threads than the one I asked about. Not sure.

You might ask GLWJ why, but that thread HAS been deleted.
It hadn't occurred to me at first, because I still have access to it, as a mod.

I don't think Dave hangs here much anymore and if I'm not mistaken he posted something to that effect some time ago on his forum. On the subject of deleting threads. I was unaware that blade forums even had a menu available to moderators that gave the option to delete threads. I certainly don't have one in my forum. Sometimes I wish. . I can move them but thats the best I can do and there are threads there I'd just as soon delete although few.

Why would one delete a current thread unless it was something that someone was trying to hide???
It wasn't offensive or contained nudity or the like did it??

In the discussion forums at BFC which are moderated by the BFC mods we have a policy to never to delete a thread or post unless it is SPAM or not appropriate (i.e. porn).

On the manufacturer and makers forums it is up to the mods of those forums as to how things are handled.

Not trying to hide anything. I'm as transparent as can be. If anyone needs to get hold of me, you know how to. I have requested my forum on BladeForums to be removed and it will be archived. This is my final post. I wish everyone good luck and happy knifemaking.

A few thoughts:
If Spark &/or mods need to move this to GBU, please do so.

GLWJ don't respond to e-mails as fast as he checks here.

A number of respected members have experienced this "phenomonnon".

Afterthought: please move this thread to "The Good, Bad, and Ugly"
