(NOTE: I haven't seen to many Mad Dogs on this forum, and hope no one is offended/put off, just trying to cover some cc bills)

Infi, does that ATAK have the block letter logo, or is it hand-signed? Also, is there by any chance a signature on the butt-end of the knife?

That Hard Chrome will clean right up with a little flitz and an APEX set at 21-24 degrees will have a perfect and new edge on it in about 20 minutes. I've got a boxfull of MD's or I'd be hard-pressed to pass this one.

I am glad to see someone else use their Dogs, though - too many guys forget they will outperform 99% of the market and THEN sell for more than you bought it for.

No one should take offense to anything. They are just inanimate objects. Good looking and feeling blades as well.

It has neither as far as I can tell - no markings at all. It seems to be quite sterile. And honestily (buyer beware), I cannot 100% guarantee it's not a fake without sending back to Mad Dog. No papers came with it.

I'd like to claim that honor but I purchased this off ebay, and the history goes:
* bought in mid-90's for a few hundred
* served well with the Santa Clara county (silicon valley) pd/fd/sar (mentioned it was used as an anchor)
* and then moved to retirement in another state, and ended up on ebay
* and actually came back to silicon valley where it's been a safe queen.

Parker - Thanks for the fitz and sharpening tip. And congrats on ur box of MD - maybe someday...

I don't understand this. Why would anybody be offended? What's the story and significance of Mad Dog knives? Just curious, especially after reading this statement.
