Mission Impossible...did you go through Navy SCUBA school around 1977?

I went through Navy scuba training in 1977, in San Diego.

Upon graduation, the school commander gave the graduates a knife.

I don't recall the manufacturer.

It was stolen three times from me...third time was a charm I guess, cause I never recovered it.

It was similar to a Buck knife, but I'm reasonably sure it was not a Buck.

This class was the gateway to all dive programs in Navy/Marine Corps, so I'm hoping that someone here may have been through the class around the same time, received a knife, and might recall what make and model it was. That's assuming the commander handed out the same knife to each class...

Thanks.

I was in the 10th SFGA at Ft Devens, MA and went thru the Navy's Ships Diver at the New London Sub base, CT in 1973, but no knives were presented to anyone then, sorry. John
