These Mission knives offer a pretty good base to work up from but they were not quite there yet in my opinion. With a few tweaks though its closer to what it could have been I think. This one got a clip flipped to tip up right hand carry, and a nested plate that will also double as a lock overtravel stop. The big folder is the one sent for this. The smaller shown here with it is mine which was done months back for the same job. Only diff other than size is that the big one here has an A2 tool steel blade and now its also sporting a stainless steel ball bearing detent that actually holds the tip down during carry.

I may post another picture here shortly because apparently I forgot to bead blast the entire folder body before packing it up so we'll see how it matches up here soon as I get that knocked out.

Good afternoon,
The reason I never put the clip on this way was a safety factor. Imagine the knife in your pocket. You slowly pull the knife out of your pocket and the thumb stud catches on the inside of your pocket which then starts to open the blade...easy to get cut this way. If you put the clip in the as the original, if anything catches, it just closes the blade.
I recommended to John not to do this, looks like he didn't listen. :-(
